CODE makes its debut on Brisbane on New Year’s Day with an epic show from Slovenian techno legend UMEK at Cloudland.
CODE is the techno stage at Electric Gardens Festival, which tours nationally across the Australia Day weekend in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
Promoters T1000 Events have kindly invited Open Records, Dragonfruit, Subtrakt Events, Lemon & Lime, Lè Froth and Eden to partner on the event to ensure this will be a NYD unlike anything Brisbane has ever seen, with some of Queensland’s best DJs across two rooms at one of Brisbane’s premiere venues.
Voted as one of the Top 3 Techno DJs in the world behind Carl Cox and Ritchie Hawtin, UMEK is personally responsible for kickstarting the electronic music scene in his home country of Slovenia.
With a career than spans more than 22 years, 4 albums, 520 releases, 95 remixes and 800 compilations, there is no denying UMEK is one of the most prolific artists.
His widely popular popular weekly radio show Behind the Iron Curtain is featured on more than 150 radio stations across the world.
